Sitting still. I see a cursor flashing. I hear the buzz of external hard drives. The air ducts come alive as soft warm air fills the room. No thoughts arise. Silence walks through the door. The calm before the storm. Will you sit still when the winds come and threaten to blow you away? There is only one method. With open eyes and an alert mind, let the Hurricane run its course, be still.

Dissolution

Naked awareness,
scanning the void,
listening.
Ordinary mindfulness,
all concepts destroyed,
ego boundaries
dwindling.

Empty Space

Listening to mind and emotions will lead you astray
like putting on a blindfold and going about your day.
Place instead your trust in empty space
where stars abide in silence without disgrace.
Don’t look at the sky as your only resource
the emptiness of NOW provides the discourse.

No More Seeking

Children spin in circles looking at the sky
Upon withering limb sits weeping dove
Slowly moving clouds in a sea of blue

Looking everywhere for that which is true
Asking important questions like "Who am I?"
Revealed is silent peace and truest love

Deep inside the child, the cloud, the dove
Empty space in a mirror staring back at you
It is all a creation of mind and eye

Each and every moment is bright and new.
